Family is who you’re stuck with, and Broadway.com resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson headed to the Cort Theatre to meet the latest dysfunctional clan now on the boards in Stick Fly. Taylor (Tracie Thoms) and Kimber (Rosie Benton) find themselves thrown into some unexpected family drama when they arrive at the elegant Martha’s Vineyard home of the LeVay family, including Taylor's fiance Kent (Dulé Hill) and Kimber's boyfriend Flip (Mekhi Phifer). See Squigs’ fly-on-the-wall look at this foursome, as well as patriarch Ruben Santiago-Hudson and young maid Condola Rashad, then head to Broadway to see the secrets unfold in this modern day comedy of manners, race and class.
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Click to e-mail Squigs. Photo by Matthew Murphy
